Haven’t you always dreamt of being a Carny? Here’s your chance! The Carnivàle is coming to town and needs your help. There are several areas that need volunteers:

Rousty Team
Help set up the basic event, including artist setup, packing and unpacking vehicles, and much more. Some heavy lifting may be required.

Decoration team
We are going to transform this location into a carnival, so we need lots of decoration help! The decoration team will have pre-event tasks such as decorating elements for the location, and event setup tasks. NOTE: Please let Jackie know if you have decorations you want to donate for the duration of the event. If you have lighting you can lend to the event, whether it is Christmas lights, lamps, or a spotlight, please let us know.

Greeters
This carnival is a friendly one! Your experience isn’t complete if you haven’t been properly greeted and introduced to your community. Not only do these positions include greeting participants it also means introducing the new and curious to our community. This could mean introducing participants to each other, showing a newcomer around, emphasizing the importance of communication and boundaries, or…well, there’s no limit to this.

Conflict Resolution
If you have solid communication skills and aren’t afraid of stepping into tense situations, we need you. These positions will ensure that the community is safe. This may mean de-escalating a situation, checking ID, or simply offering a hug to someone who needs it. Yep, even Carnys can be squishy.

First Aid
If you have first aid skills, please volunteer to be a go-to person in the case of an emergency.

Bar Agents
If you are a whiz at mixing drinks and can handle a cash float, come on down. Those with Serving It Right preferred but not necessary. There are limited positions available so please email Amara ASAP if you are interested.

Sound Crew
Got muscles, enjoy heavy lifting, or know stuff about sound? Then this job is for you. This will involve the transportation, setup, and takedown of all sound equipment.

Got a truck?
Every carnival has to arrive and disappear somehow. Do you have a truck that is capable of towing? We have a trailer that needs to be towed. Please email me and I’ll have more details about this.
